Public Works Department

The Public Works Department provides a variety of basic services to the City of Russellville. The department maintains roadways and drainageways, supervises design of street and drainage improvements, oversees construction of these improvements, maintains traffic control devices (traffic signals, signs, pavement markings), inspects residential, commercial and industrial construction for compliance with all building codes, maintains the City's motorized equipment, maintains city maps, coordinates planning activities including the Planning Commission and enforces regulations and codes adopted by the City Council.

This year the department has an operating budget of $1,110,000 and will oversee capital improvement projects totaling over $7,635,000.
